Class Features

A Class Feature is a skill or ability that makes you stand out against everyone else.

Raw Magic

I taught myself how to code in High School. I loved it so much, I made a career out of it.

Instead of going to college, I attended DigitalCrafts, a 3 month crash course on web development.

The Lure of Knowledge

Programming isn’t simply a career choice for me. It is a passion and a hobby. I always have a personal project in the works.

I’m always exploring bleeding-edge technologies in my own time.

Skill and Precision

I am a Full-Stack Engineer, but I am also passionate about design.

Whether I’m creating a design from scratch or working with a Design team, the application I build will look great and function flawlessly.

Feats

Feats are my major accomplishments. They include work-related or personal projects. Anything I’m proud of is listed here.

WatchDog

July 2018

WatchDog is a Discord bot I built for one of my best friends. Her Discord server was being harassed by an individual, so I built the bot specifically to counter his strategies.

The Bot can detect ban evasion, prevent @mention spam, rate-limit a user, archive messages for law enforcement purposes, and maintain a global banlist across a number of different servers.

Traveler

September 2020

I began playing Dungeons & Dragons over the Internet with my friend group when the pandemic started. I eventually ran into an issue; nobody had an application that allowed the DM to track player travel between points of interest.

I wrote this app within a weekend and used it a few times during our D&D sessions. Some major features include time and weather tracking, randomly generated encounters, combat tracking, and automatic dice rolling. It can pull Monster stats from the D&D API and display them to the DM.

VallurX

January 2021

VallurX was started by a friend of mine who wanted to improve the vaccine distribution system in Ohio. VallurX has two components to it. There is a Patient Portal where regular Ohioans can schedule appointments and input their health information. We also have a Nurse Portal, where healthcare workers can view the schedule, check patient information, and manage vaccine data such as doses and manufacturer.

Unfortunately we were too late to the market, but I’m proud of what we built in such a short period of time (2 weeks!)

Background

My Background includes my education and my work history.

August 2016
DigitalCrafts Coding Bootcamp

During the 3 month web development course at DigitalCrafts, we learned all aspects of the modern web. We started with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and then moved on to frameworks such as Angular and Express. I also participated in a UI/UX Elective, which taught me the fundamentals of user experience and design as well as tools such as Sketch.

April 2017
Software Intern - Traxion

Worked as a full-stack developer for Traxion, a SaaS tool to help manage companies using EOS. While I worked there, I gained experience with AGILE methodology.

October 2017
Software Engineer - Apago

Apago is a software contracting firm. We build solutions for a variety of different customers of all sizes.

As a software engineer at Apago, I:

• Worked with the customer and my boss to plan and design the end product.

• Managed my own time and process.

• Implemented the product using my choice of technology (I have worked with Angular, React, and Vue)

May 2021
Software Engineer - Aleo

Aleo is a startup creating Zero-Knowledge Applications using Blockchain technologies.

As a software engineer at Aleo, I:

• Work closely with the Design team to implement the frontend using React.js and/or Next.js.

• Was responsible for creating and maintaining our component library.

• Successfully launched the Setup Ceremony for the Browser, which took advantage of WebAssembly.
